dt post for just inspirational challenges

This weeks challenge is sponsored by Paper shelter, and the theme is rosettes. I'm afraid i am running late with this posting due to 3 hospital appointments this week and one being an 8 hour day.

This card my son actually wanted for a friend of his who is a total rock chick. The backing paper came with the image, but i colored the image with promarkers as he wanted a lot of violet and pink in it as they are her colors. The pink card at the back i ran through the dottie embossing folder in my mums embossing machine which is the next one up from my big shot. I made the rosette from a sheet of the purple backing paper and then added a few silver musical notes about.

Colored with promarkers, ribbon and gems from hobbycraft, not sure where the cutout border came from as was just laying around on my desk, The little sentiment came free with a magazine once.

Rosie

This is the the first time i have ever tried doing a dark skin, when i was is hospital for my 8 day stay the other week i met a very nice indian lady who had 2 young girls, we got talking about cards and she said that it wasn't very often you got a darker skin childrens cards, so i thought i would have a go at doing one. probably totally wrong but here's my attempt. I am still trying to play catch up have been at hospital 3 days this week and one day we were there 8 hours tied up in different departments all day and then the consultant had gone home as we were too late going through some of the tests and then to top it all off went back on the ward for the steroid infusion to be told it was now out of hours, no doctors left on ward so we had to do the 60mile round trip again to have it done yesterday. Have to now go back every wednesday for next 3 weeks then christmas eve and 3rd January, so please forgive me for being late with everything.
The image is Rosie from Funky kits over at Sugar Nellie, Colored with promarkers, Papers by kanban and Kaisercraft, Flowers from hobbycraft, Holly leaves signature die by Joanna sheen and snowflakes i seem to have had in craftroom stash forever.. Merry christmas sentiment was a free stamp with simply cards.

The flowers i made are from an x cut 3.2cm embossing silhouette punch, Marianne leaves. Colored with promarkers . Sentiment from craftwork cards, pearls are from craftime.
